The Attributed Pi Calculus
نویسندگان
چکیده
The attributed pi calculus (π(L)) forms an extension of the pi calculus with attributed processes and attribute dependent synchronization. To ensure flexibility, the calculus is parametrized with the language L which defines possible values of attributes. π(L) can express polyadic synchronization as in pi@ and thus diverse compartment organizations. A non-deterministic and a stochastic semantics, where rates may depend on attribute values, is introduced. The stochastic semantics is based on continuous time Markov chains. A simulation algorithm is developed which is firmly rooted in this stochastic semantics. Two examples underline the applicability of π(L) to systems biology: Euglena’s movement in phototaxis, and cooperative protein binding in gene regulation of bacteriophage lambda.

The Attributed Pi-Calculus with Priorities
We present the attributed π-calculus for modeling concurrent systems with interaction constraints depending on the values of attributes of processes. The λ-calculus serves as a constraint language underlying the π-calculus. Interaction constraints subsume priorities, by which to express global aspects of populations. We present a nondeterministic and a stochastic semantics for the attributed π-...

In this paper, a new broadcast encryption scheme is presented based on threshold secret sharing and secure multiparty computation. This scheme is maintained to be dynamic in that a broadcaster can broadcast a message to any of the dynamic groups of users in the system and it is also fair in the sense that no cheater is able to gain an unfair advantage over other users. Another important feature...
متن کاملDynamic Compartments in the Imperative pi-Calculus
Dynamic compartments with mutable configurations and variable volumes are of basic interest for the stochastic modeling of biochemistry in cells. We propose a new language to express dynamic compartments that we call the imperative π-calculus. It is obtained from the attributed π-calculus by adding imperative assignment operations to a global store. Previous approaches to dynamic compartments a...
متن کاملA New-type Pi Calculus with Buffers and Its Bisimulation
According to the features of asynchronous interaction in systems, a new-type Pi calculus with buffers — Buffer-Pi calculus is proposed, the new labelled transition system based on buffers is introduced, the enhanced describing capability is shown to apply Buffer-Pi calculus to modeling with the concrete example of asynchronous interaction, and the new behavior equivalence relations are defined,...
متن کاملApplied pi calculus
The applied pi calculus is a language for modelling security protocols. It is an extension of the pi calculus, a language for studying concurrency and process interaction. This chapter presents the applied pi calculus in a tutorial style. It describes reachability, correspondence, and observational equivalence properties, with examples showing how to model secrecy, authentication, and privacy a...
